You can use the 'Friends of Chorley Help the Homeless' widget on the right to make a single or a regular donation to support our charity via CAF - the Charities Aid Foundation.

Donate food or household items to our Food Bank

We're located at our Community Cafe on Friday Street in Chorley. Please donate items by dropping them off during our opening hours:

Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri: 10am-2pm

Please also look out for donation points at Chorley supermarkets like Booths.


Our Food Bank Needs Pantry Staples
Such as: baked beans, soups, tinned meat, tuna, pot noodles, pasta, rice, tea & coffee, breakfast cereals and biscuits. These are always very gratefully received! 

The highest priority items are long-life milk, tinned meats and tinned fruit.

​We use your donations to assemble emergency food parcels for people who are homeless or otherwise struggling to afford food.

​We can also use household starter items
Such as:
Pots and pans,
Cups and plates,
Cutlery,
Duvets, bedsheets and pillows,
Clothing,
Small kitchen electricals like kettles, toasters and microwaves.

Also rucksacks and sleeping bags.

Please note:
  • We are unable to accept large items such as furniture or appliances.
  • Bedsheets and pillows should be in good clean condition.
  • If you have a lot to donate, it may be better to call in advance to make sure we are ready to receive your items.
  • We must regrettably turn down certain items if our storage space gets full. This sometimes happens with clothing and duvets. You may wish to call in advance to enquire.

Donating Items For Auction
Chorley Auction House is kindly auctioning items commission free to raise funds for Chorley Help the Homeless.

How It Works
Items can be taken to the auction house on Friday St (a few doors away from us at The Gateway).

Ring the auction house on 01257 239002 and let them know that you have items for auction
and that you would like the proceeds to go to Help the Homeless.
A timeslot for drop off will be arranged.
Take your items along and the helpful team there will do the rest

Your items will be listed in the catalogue for the next available auction which can be viewed at:
www.chorleyauctionhouse.co.uk

Find your item and lot number and watch the auction live online to see how much you have raised. It’s as easy as that!

Please donate good quality items such as:
Jewellery, watches, clocks, electrical, collectables, tools etc.
Please don’t bring books, clothing, crockery.
