Donate food or household items to our Food Bank
We're located at our drop-in centre The Gateway, Friday Street, in Chorley. You can donate items by dropping them off at The Gateway during our opening hours:
Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri: 10am-2pm To Donate Food: Storable food and toiletries can be brought to The Gateway, or at the collection point situated in the Booths Store, Chorley. We can also use household starter items such as: Pots and pans, Cups and plates, Cutlery, Duvets, bedsheets and pillows, Clothing, Small electricals like kettles, toasters and microwaves. Our Food Bank Needs Pantry Staples
Such as: baked beans, soups, tinned meat, tuna, pot noodles, pasta, rice, sugar, tea & coffee, breakfast cereals and biscuits. These are always most gratefully received! At the moment we especially need: UHT Milk, tinned meats and tinned fruit, Pot Noodles (August 2023) We use your donations to assemble emergency food parcels for people who are homeless or otherwise struggling to afford food. Donating Items For Auction
Chorley Auction House is kindly auctioning items commission free to raise funds for Chorley Help the Homeless.
How It Works
Items can be taken to the auction house on Friday St (a few doors away from us at The Gateway).
Ring the auction house on 01257 239002 and let them know that you have items for auction
and that you would like the proceeds to go to Help the Homeless.
A timeslot for drop off will be arranged.
Take your items along and the helpful team there will do the rest
Your items will be listed in the catalogue for the next available auction which can be viewed at:

Find your item and lot number and watch the auction live online to see how much you have raised. It’s as easy as that!
Please donate good quality items such as:
Jewellery, watches, clocks, electrical, collectables, tools etc.
Please don’t bring books, clothing, crockery.
